About

We teach children to direct powerful tools, and to check them.

ayyayo is a voice app for children aged 9 to 13. Each lesson gives a child a small, clear job, lets them ask an AI to do it in their own words and their own language, and then teaches them to find what the AI got wrong and say exactly how to fix it.

Three principles

1. We teach children to direct powerful tools and to check them.

The point is never the thing the AI made. The point is that the child decided what it should be, noticed where it fell short, and said so precisely. Every lesson is built so the child does that work and the AI doesn't do it for them.

2. We make no claim we cannot measure.

There are no outcome numbers, testimonials or user counts on this site, because we don't have measured results yet. We are measuring ayyayo in pilots and will publish what we find, including what doesn't work.

3. We collect as little children's data as possible.

A child profile is a nickname, an age and a language. We never store recordings of a child's voice. We keep the sentences a lesson needs, as text, so a parent can see them. Published creations are hidden from search engines.
